On what was a wet and damp morning the rain held off for the 397 finishers in this mornings IFF 5k in Little Island. This was also a big event for the Cork BHAA as they were trailing chip timing for the 1st time. This is a brilliant addition to these great races and we will be looking forward to seeing how successful it will be.
This was also a new course for this event with a new loop and a half of the retail park which meant a very fast course for everyone. Well done to everyone who ran and we have no doubt there was plenty of pbs around the course.
Some might have noticed one of our hosts running around the course, Brian Ahern ran a fantastic race and came away with a new shiny pb for himself, finishing in a time of 18.08.
