Light running rain-jacket. This MUST be carried on the person at all times during the race. Anyone without a rain jacket will be disqualified from the race. 2. Appropriate Trail footwear/runners. 3. This is a trail/mountain 10km. You need to be aware of the ground conditions and your footing at all times. 5. Finally enjoy the race!! Aid Stations: 1. DESCRIPTION:This race is a permitted A.A.I. event and once again this year we will open on Thursday 1st December to A.A.I. club members.  You just need your Life Membership number to enter.  Remaining places will then go on offer on the 8th December. \nWest Waterford Athletic Club are delighted to announce details of the event which has established itself as a must run race on the Irish road running calendar with participants from all four corners of the country and beyond participating. The entry fee for this year’s race is €30. The race has grown year on year and is a pre-entry race which will close when 3\,750 entries is reached. ( please note this race was full in a very short time last year ). All race numbers will be posted out the week prior to the event\, and there will be strictly no entry on the day. The prize fund for 2023 is €6\,000

Cork \nRegistration and parking is at the Glen Theatre in Banteer. For those coming from Mallow\, head West on the N72 (towards Killarney) for about 20km. Turn left at the R579 junction (signposted Banteer/Nad). Travel on this road for about 3km (going straight through Banteer Village) and the Glen Theatre is on the right hand side. \nGoogle Maps link \nParking is limited\, so please make every effort to carpool. \nThe race starts approx. 1km from the Glen Theatre. There is no parking available at the race start location\, so treat this as the warm-up and cool-down. The route to the start is on public roads\, so caution is needed. \nPlease do not attempt to park at the race start location. DESCRIPTION:MSD 4 Mile Road Race – St Stephen’s Day\nThe race starts at 12 noon and entries will be taken from 9.30 am onwards at Colaiste Cheitinn\, the Mall. E91K2E2.\nLast year they were over 300 athletes competing\, this event caters for all levels of fitness.\nThis year’s Prize list is as follows:\nMen: 1st 5 Men\, 1st 0/40\, 0/45\, 0/50\, 0/55 and 0/60. The list of Prizes for the Ladies is as follows: the 1st 5 Ladies\, 1st 0/35\, 0/40\, 0/45\, 0/50 and 0/60. 1st Junior Man and Woman under 18.\nThere will be a new Course record for 1st man 17 mins 45 secs and 1st woman 21 mins 32 secs.\nThere will also be Post Race Refreshments in the Vocational School. This year’s event will be Chip timed by Premier Timing Systems. This event has an Athletics Ireland Race Permit.\nThe entry Fee is 15 Euros online at itsyourrace.com.
