This is one of the St. Brendan A.C.’s main fundraisers and your support is very much appreciated. It has been a very busy year for St Brendan’s AC. The club is growing year on year and these fundraising events are so important as they contribute to the continued success of the club.
The 5K race is a fast and flat out and back course on a road that runs parallel to Banna Beach. The 10K route follows the same route as the 5K but continues on a looped course that passes through Ardfert village and back to finish down near Banna Rescue, both perfect for chasing PBs and all finishers will get a medal. Tasty home-cooked treats will be available after the race and are enjoyed by all each year.
This year St. Brendan’s A.C. are helping Banna Sea Rescue celebrate its 40th anniversary. Banna Rescue is a voluntary inshore and land rescue unit covering one of the busiest and one of the best beaches in the country. They respond to emergencies on a 24/7/365 basis and their boats patrol from Brandon Head to Kerry Head including Tralee Bay. www.bannarescue.org.
