Mick Murphy Memorial 5K

Mick Murphy Memorial 5k is an annual race hosted by Sliabh Buidhe Rovers A.C. Usually a 4-mile race this year it is changed to a 5k race. Fast & flat course, with a great atmosphere. Chip timing, cash prizes, and a souvenir medal for all finishers.
Prize giving and refreshments afterwards.
This event has an AAI permit
Course Details
The race starts at the Monument just opposite the Castle at the top of Ferns Village > Out the Bunclody Road > taking the first left > left again down the stump lane onto the main road > straight run into Ferns > turning left again to the Castle which is the finish

It is a relatively flat fast course with the most of an incline on the main road as you head for home.
