ORGANISERS INSTRUCTIONS: Entry will open in mid August. All competitors please read the Stone Cross to Lug Race Booklet.

ENTRY – pre-approval only. Send an email to the race director – [email protected] – with an outline of your ability to navigate in an open mountain setting. Do not enter this race without having been in contact with the RD.

This is a Long Distance Open Mountain Unmarked Race. Every runner must have experience of navigation and must be able to use a compass.

Race start time – 08.00. No early start option. Registration will open at 7.15 (please refer to ‘Getting There’ for location) and close at 7.50am. All runners must present at sign-in before gun time.

In the interest of safety, there will be cut offs at checkpoints.

Checkpoint 1: Sally Gap crossroads – 10:45.

Checkpoint 2: Wicklow Gap/ Turlough Hill car park – 14:00.
