Longford 5K/Half-Marathon/Marathon/39.3 Mile Ultra-Marathon

The Longford Marathon began in 2002 when the 1st Longford Marathon was organised to mark the completion of Longford Man Liam Fenelon’s 100th Marathon. 20 years later the event is now a favourite fixture in the Running calendar and comprises the Streets of Longford 5K, The Longford Half Marathon, The Longford Marathon, a Marathon Team Relay and a 39.3 mile Ultra Marathon. The race is run over a flat course in the very middle of Ireland, running through the 3 counties of Longford, Roscommon and Leitrim.

The scheduled start times are as follows:

• 7.00am – the participants who intend to walk the Marathon and the participants in the 39.3 mile ultra marathon will start.
• 9.00am – all other participants in the Marathon, the Half Marathon and the Marathon Relay will start.
• 9.05am – the participants in the Streets of Longford 5K will start.
