Our next Coffee Morning Run is going to be held on March 12th. Our last event was a huge success thanks to the great Running Community, we all managed to raise €1300 for Penny Dinners. This was greatly appreciated by all at Penny Dinners. A great morning was had by all with spot prizes, a chat and a chance for people to run together who may not have done so before.
This time we go again, and we have selected two charities that are continuously doing trojan work in some of the most difficult circumstances. Our chosen charities this time is Cork City Missing Persons Search and Rescue and Mallow Search and Rescue.
A number of companies have already come on board to assist us with the organization of event number two. We are delighted to have the Clayton Hotel Silversprings offer us their venue and sponsor Teas, Coffees and pastries for the day. A huge thanks to Tracy and all the staff at the Clayton Hotel. Silversprings offers a great starting point for several routes, the option to run in Glanmire direction and along the new paths towards Carrigtwohill is one and also back towards the City along the lower road and back out to the popular Blackrock/Marina area. So as a location it is ideal whether for long run or short run.
We are also going to use this day to introduce you to some of our Cork City Marathon Runners Diary Podcast Leaders. We are also delighted to have District Health and Leisure become part of this journey and they have agreed to Sponsor our four leaders in the journey forward. Thanks again to Gemma and all the staff at District Health and Leisure.
If you would like to be part of this event then it’s simple. Just turn up at the Clayton Hotel on Sunday March 12th (keep a watch on our Facebook event to see what times people are planning), go for your run and join us afterwards for a cuppa and a chat and if possible drop a donation for these two very worthy causes.
Thanks again to all at District Health & Leisure and Clayton Hotel Silversprings.
